How to Test Streaming Quality
Check resolution
During your trial, check if channels stream in HD (720p or 1080p) or SD. HD should look sharp on your TV. If everything looks blurry, your internet may be too slow.
Check for buffering
Watch a channel for 5 minutes. Count how many times it buffers. Zero buffering is ideal. Occasional buffering may be acceptable. Constant buffering means your setup needs optimization.
Check audio quality
Listen for audio sync, volume level, and clarity. Audio should be in sync with video. Low volume or distorted audio may indicate a settings issue.
Check channel switching speed
Switch between 10 channels quickly. Each should load within 3 seconds. Slow channel switching may indicate a server or network issue.
Check VOD playback
Open a movie from VOD. Test play, pause, rewind, and fast-forward. VOD should work smoothly without buffering on a decent connection.
Record your results
Write down which channels had issues, what quality you got, and whether buffering occurred. This helps you compare services if you test multiple providers.
